Hello! I'm Lacy Palmer and welcome to the LP Photography blog. I'm a family and senior portrait photographer based in Salt Lake City, Utah and I can't wait to share all about my business with you. While you are here, go ahead and pull up a chair, grab your favorite snack and enjoy viewing some of my latest work along while getting to know me a little more and maybe learn a few tips along the way!
I cannot express how much I loved this session. Axton was getting ready to get baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In the Church you must be at least 8 years old in order to get baptized and once you have made that decision, you get interviewed and go through a process to prepare you for the covenants you are making. When Axton’s mom reached out to me about this session I was just ecstatic when she told me he would be wearing a kilt as a tribute to their family history! How cool is that? And I tell you what, he was just an absolute stud in that kilt, everyone on Temple Square was just staring and commenting on how great he looked! Axton was a little nervous and timid at first to have his picture taken but slowly he warmed up to me and we had a good time talking about cars and legos, my kind of kid! I am super happy with how these photos ended up and really let his personality shine, what a great smile he has! It makes me really sad to know that I won’t be able to photograph at the Salt Lake Temple for years now but I really look forward to all the renovations they do! Once this session was finished and sent off, Summer left me the sweetest review that truly made me tear up.
‘We just had my son’s pictures taken with Lacy for his upcoming 8th birthday and baptism into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We went to the Salt Lake Temple and my son wore a kilt to honor our family’s heritage. Now, the Buchanan tartan is very colorful which can be a good thing or a bad thing. Lacy made sure that all the colors in our pictures flowed very nicely. She made sure my son was comfortable AND had fun with this experience. I loved the questionnaire she had me fill out online prior to the session to let her know what we were looking for and how she could make that happen for us.
The pictures turned out so great. She was very prompt with communication and with the pictures themselves.
I’m so glad to have these pictures for me and my family to look at and for my son to remember about turning 8 and getting baptized.”
Thank you so much for your kindness Summer and for letting me be a part of this special moment for your family, it is truly and honor for me!
