Mom of boys, artist, and lover of all things Disney
I always knew I wanted to be an artist but I never knew it would be through photography that I would find my heart. My husband bought me my first dslr camera when we were dating and I fell in love (with him and the camera)! It wasn't until the blessing in disguise of losing my 9-5 job I had right out of college that got me really wondering what to do with my life. It was at that point that I was inspired to learn photography because for some reason I knew it was part of my purpose.
My path of being a photographer actually has nothing to do with photography! Nope! Not a darn thing about me taking pictures! I was blessed with a sincere love for people and a desire to serve them. As an introvert, this business has pushed me to branch out of my comfort zone, do things I never would have dreamed of doing before and serve people I would never get to otherwise. Every time I do a photo session I feel so grateful to do what I love. I get to meet the most amazing people that leave a permanent impression on my heart and bonus: we get amazing photos to enjoy for a long time!
I am married to an incredible guy who's wit and humor remind me to not take life too seriously and enjoy the little things. I am a mom to the world’s most amazing little boys; they are my inspiration, my greatest creations and have taught me more about life and love (and patience) than anyone else on this planet.
I love all things Star Wars, Harry Potter and Disney and I am fluent in movie quotes. I got my love of music from my dad and you will rarely catch me not listening to some kind of tunes (Jack Johnson and The Beatles are a few faves). I crave Mexican food just about every day (more chips and salsa, please?). I really love to travel, my dream trip would be to do a European Tour to do all the fun tourist-y stuff plus study and practice art!! Of course, I would also never turn down a relaxing vacay to the beach or a magical trip to the happiest place on earth with my favorite Disney buddy, my little sis!
For as long as I can remember, I was always coloring or drawing something. I always felt the need to create, it's just part of me. Drawing and painting were my first ways of expressing my inner artist. All throughout my school years, I focused a lot of attention on developing my art, I was even an art major in college. I would say it wasn't until many years and major life experiences later though that I really found my artistic voice and what I was passionate about creating. I found my soul really resonated with creating religious themed art that had real meaning for me. I love creating paintings that represent real emotions that I often feel and that's why these mean so much to me! These pieces were only ever originally meant for me to create to enjoy and just share as I felt needed but I'm excited to add that I now have an Etsy shop to purchase prints and where I will be introducing new pieces!
