I believe photography is less of what the eye sees and more of what the soul feels. I also believe there is beauty in the messy, imperfect chaos of life and it's what I strive to capture in my work.
I want to create lasting relationships with my clients so for me, this is more than just taking nice photos, those are just the bonus. If you're just looking for a transaction, I'm probably not the photographer for you! I truly care about my clients and I not only want to capture your life, I want to be a part of it as well!
My images are a direct reflection of what I believe is one of the most important things in life: the relationships we have with those around us. I have a very natural feel to my work and love to incorporate beautiful, clean and creamy colors and tones that emulate film with my editing style. I am a self-taught photographer and I believe that in this business, education is the most important investment. I pride myself on working hard to give you the best experience and quality work I can possibly provide. My goal during your session with me is that you feel comfortable enough to explore, play, laugh, cry, feel all the feels and basically just be YOU while I capture the moments. I love documenting details and connections for you to be able to look back and enjoy for years to come.
-How do I schedule a session with you?
Yay! So glad you asked! You can either email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or send me a message. Once we decide on a date for your session, I will send you a contract to sign and an invoice for your non-refundable retainer of $50. Once I have received those two items, your date is secured. The remaining balance is due the day before your session.
-Where will my session be held?
I am a natural light, on location photographer. Before your session we will discuss your interests and what kind of location style you are wanting to find the perfect fit for you. I love exploring and trying new things but the best places are where you will feel comfortable! Some location ideas would be in your home, in a rented studio space or an outdoor location.
-What should I wear?
Your outfits for the session should be comfortable and reflect your personality. We will discuss outfit options and some recommended guidelines prior to your scheduled session. I also strongly suggest to dress for the weather. If it is a winter session, don't be afraid incorporate accessories to keep you warm so you aren't constantly adding and removing items in between photos.
-Do you provide digital negatives (RAW files) after the shoot?
You will be provided with the edited images only. Each picture is carefully handled and will be a representation of my work. Be sure to look at my portfolio to make sure that my work and style are a good match for you.
-What if the weather is bad for the session?
Usually we will try to improvise and work through what weather we can without it being dangerous to us or threatening to damage my equipment. I understand that the weather cannot be controlled so if we feel it is necessary, a reschedule is possible, I want to make sure you are satisfied with your photos!
-What times of the day are best for sessions?
I usually schedule outdoor sessions for what is called Golden Hour which is either the first hour of light after sunrise or the last hour of light before sunset. Those times are the most flattering for lighting but it can vary depending on the session and availability.
-How soon after the session do I get my photos back?
You will be able to see “sneak peek” on my social media within a few days of the session. I usually require 3 weeks to be able to proof and edit your full gallery. You will be contacted by me when your gallery is ready.
